What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser by a website you visit. Cookies let a site remember things between page loads and across visits — for example, that you are signed in, that you prefer dark mode, or that a video should resume where you paused it.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function. They keep you signed in, secure your session against tampering, route requests to the correct region, and remember your cookie choices. These cookies cannot be disabled because the site cannot work without them.

Functional

Remember the language you chose, the last course you were watching, your video volume, captions on or off, and similar preferences. Disabling these means you'll need to set those preferences again on every visit.

Analytics

Help us understand which pages, courses, and features are used most so we can improve them. Analytics data is aggregated and pseudonymous — we never sell it and never combine it with advertising profiles.

Marketing

Used to measure the performance of our own marketing campaigns and, in limited cases, to show Univada ads on other sites you visit. We do not run third-party advertising inside the learning experience itself.

Changing your choices

Open the cookie banner at the bottom of any page, or visit Account → Privacy → Cookie preferences. Your choice applies immediately and is remembered for 12 months, after which we'll ask again.

Browser-level controls

You can also clear or block cookies from your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out of Univada and reset your preferences. Univada honors the Global Privacy Control signal where applicable law requires it.

Questions

Write to privacy@univada.com for questions about our cookie practices or to request a copy of the data we associate with your account.
